Dear BAP member or pledge, or interested prospective member,

The Beta Delta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi at Texas Tech has requested inactive status for the 2004-2005 academic year.  The request for inactive status was a joint decision by the elected officers of the Beta Delta chapter and the accounting faculty and was based in part on low attendance and limited participation of members in activities.  If you have been initiated into Beta Alpha Psi, you are still a member, but there will be no organizational activities on this campus this year.  If you were a pledge last semester and met all the pledge requirements, your name will be reported to the international Beta Alpha Psi office as having been initiated as a full member.

Most students believed one of the major benefits of membership in Beta Alpha Psi was information and contacts for internship/job recruiting.  Students can now receive that service through the Rawls College of Business Career Management Center and we encourage you to register with them.

The Area of Accounting is planning to sponsor programs, activities, and informational presentations that previously would have been facilitated by Beta Alpha Psi.  Watch for classroom announcements about these events in the future.

Thank you for your past support of and interest in Beta Alpha Psi.
